BOOKINGS & PAYMENTS

Before You Visit

Important information about making a booking, changing a booking, arriving on time and our refund policy.

BOOKINGS Changing Your Booking
Bookings may only be moved when at least 48 hours' notice is given.

If you need to move your booking to another available date or time, you must contact us at least 48 hours before your scheduled booking.

A £5 administration fee will be charged each time a booking is moved.

The administration fee covers the work involved in changing the reservation and reallocating the original booking slot.

No booking amendments are permitted within 48 hours of the scheduled booking time.

We recommend checking your selected date, time, activity and number of guests carefully before completing your booking.

Any requested amendment is subject to availability. We cannot guarantee that the same activity, date or preferred time will be available.

Guests who do not attend

If members of your party do not attend, your booking will continue based on the number of guests originally booked.

Where applicable, games or activity allocation may be shared between the guests who have attended.

Bookings containing multiple activities

Where a booking includes more than one activity, Strikes Social / The Adventure Zone reserves the right to change the order in which those activities are played.

This may be required because of activity availability, delays, maintenance, staffing, operational requirements or to keep the venue running smoothly.

No refund or compensation will be issued where all activities included within the booking are provided but take place in a different order.

ARRIVAL Late Arrival & Bowling Bookings
Please arrive at least 10 minutes before your scheduled booking time.

Late arrival may result in reduced play time or cancellation without refund depending on availability and the operational requirements of the venue.

How bowling session times are calculated

AUTOMATIC LANE-TIME CALCULATION

Bowling is sold per game, not as a fixed-duration session. However, our booking system must automatically reserve enough lane time for each booking so that the lane diary can be managed around the bookings before and after yours.

The system uses a common bowling-industry lane-planning guide used by bowling venues internationally of approximately 10 minutes per person, per game.

PLAYERS × GAMES × 10 MINUTES = ESTIMATED LANE TIME
2 PEOPLE • 1 GAME Approx. 20 mins
4 PEOPLE • 1 GAME Approx. 40 mins
6 PEOPLE • 1 GAME Approx. 60 mins
6 PEOPLE • 2 GAMES Approx. 120 mins

The time produced by this calculation is an estimated operational allowance. It is used to create the lane schedule and does not change the number of games that you have purchased.

Your allocated lane time begins from your scheduled booking time, not from the time that your group arrives, checks in or starts bowling.

Late arrival or slow play

If you arrive late, the amount of lane time available before the next booking will be reduced. Where necessary, your booking may therefore be switched from per-game bowling to timed bowling using the remaining time available on the lane.

The same may apply where a group is bowling significantly slower than the time automatically allowed for the booking and continuing would delay customers booked afterwards.

If your booking is changed to timed bowling because of late arrival or unusually slow play, the lane may finish when the allocated booking time expires even if a game has not been completed.

This is necessary to protect later bookings and prevent one delayed session from affecting the rest of the lane diary.

Can we move your booking around?

Where the live booking diary allows, our team may be able to move your group to another available lane, adjust your lane allocation or reposition the booking within the available schedule to help you complete your games.

Any such adjustment is entirely subject to availability, including the bookings already scheduled before and after your session. We cannot guarantee that another lane or additional time will be available.

Moving a group on the day to another lane or position in the live lane diary for operational reasons is not treated as a customer-requested booking amendment and does not attract the standard booking amendment administration fee.

More than 10 minutes late

If you are more than 10 minutes late for any activity, your booking slot may be released to another customer.

We cannot guarantee that we will contact you if you have not arrived.

If you know that you are going to be late, please contact the venue as soon as possible. We will try to accommodate you where possible, but this cannot be guaranteed.

ENTRY Last Entry
Last entry for walk-in customers is 1 hour before the venue's advertised closing time.

After this time, walk-in entry may be refused regardless of available capacity, activity availability or the amount of time remaining before closing.

This allows sufficient time for activities to be completed, final drinks service and the safe and orderly closing of the venue.

Customers with an existing advance booking may still arrive at their scheduled booking time during the final hour, subject to our Late Arrival Policy.

We reserve the right to refuse entry and/or service where necessary.

CLOSURES Events Outside Our Control

If Strikes Social or The Adventure Zone is required to close due to circumstances outside of our reasonable control, affected bookings may be placed on hold or moved to an alternative date.

Circumstances may include, but are not limited to:

  • Government-mandated closures
  • Pandemics
  • Power outages
  • Loss of running water
  • Structural or building safety issues
  • Natural disasters
  • Emergency incidents
  • Other force majeure events

Where a closure is caused by circumstances outside of our control, refunds will not normally be issued.

Instead, the amount paid will be held as booking credit for up to 3 months from the date the venue reopens.

Any credit that has not been used within this period will expire.

PAYMENTS Refund Policy
Booking payments are non-refundable.

Payments made towards reservations are non-refundable.

A standard booking may instead be moved to another available date or time when we receive at least 48 hours' notice.

Any booking moved to another date or time is subject to a £5 administration fee.

No booking can be moved or amended within 48 hours of its scheduled start time.

Birthday party bookings are excluded from this standard amendment policy and are governed by the separate birthday party Terms & Conditions.

Venue employees are not authorised to provide refunds outside of the applicable booking policies.

PROMOTIONS Offers & Deals

All promotional offers, discounts and deals advertised online, on social media, in print or within the venue are subject to availability.

Promotions may only be available on selected dates, days, times or activities.

Where an offer states that advance online booking is required, walk-in bookings will not qualify for that promotion.

Offers may be unavailable during school holidays, half-term, bank holidays, special events and other peak trading dates.

We reserve the right to change, suspend or withdraw a promotional offer at any time.
